Summer Solstice in Santa Barbara

We had a chance to spend the weekend in Santa Barbara sans Bubby (as you can see by the nice table cloth/relaxed looks on our faces). Ever seen Sideways? If not-add it to your Netflix "queue". Los Olivos Cafe-the cute little restaurant where all the antics began (the movie antics, I mean)...

It just so happened that it was the Summer Solstice weekend. And what better way to welcome in the summer by creating a float of the Gilligan's Island mobile...

Throw in Will Farrell's look-alike, dressed as a monkey...

Add some scantily clad woman dancing a samba...

And...this...

Plus, some cute kids doing chalk drawings in the street...
And you got yourself a summer!!!

Well Feet, until we meet again.
See you in the Fall.
(side note: The round thing at the bottom of the photo is not my boob.)

Guess which glass I get.

Not the good one, of course.
Thank God for chocolate-chocolate-chip cookies, though...

It's Time to be 3

A Birthday with Shamu

Grandma T and her Sous Chef

Not sure if putting the pregnant girl in charge of decorating cupcakes was the best idea. Let's just say, I hope there ended up being enough for everyone.

Let's raise some ruckus around here!

The sun came out and the water world antics began.

Two Mamas

So, Wyatt, now that you're 3, share some wisdom with a bro.

Spending some quality time with the girls over some pb&js.
My little man loves his friends.

Is there anything better than cupcakes and good friends?
I mean, really.

Baily's Motto:
Why waste valuable party time changing into a swim suit when you can simply get in wearing your jeans, tennis shoes, and shirt?

Le Petite Artiste Flaunts his Skills

Again, no need for a swim suit.

Opa Fred masterminds a water attack should anyone be refused an endless supple of cupcakes and candy.

And oh, were there presents!

Chill Session 1

Chill Session 2

Meanwhile, Pete refused to feed the kids an endless supply of cupcakes, ice cream, Kit-Kats, and Jolly Rancher suckers, so as planned, they turned on him!
That'll learn ya!

He's crazy-cool and always ready for a party.
Meet Mr. 3!

It was a good day.
Even "Kicky" joined in on the fun.

No, we haven't lost all faith and joined the communist party. I've just never learned how to hang a flag properly. Sad-but typical. Poor Wy's too ashamed to even show his face.
Oh, well. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Sweet Pea

Ever spend a Sunday morning at the Encinitas Farmers' Market? I highly recommend it.
They sell the best cupcakes there.
What? You're supposed to buy fruits and vegetables at a farmers' market? Ohhhh...
