Ah! Summertime in San Diego. We've been soaking it in. Beach, pool, a little Tour de France (Lance. You are the man.), friends, family. All in all a good summer. Which, may I remind you, is not over yet! We'll just let time idle by on this one.

"Rachel Getting Married"
My cousin Rachel, that is. Beautiful wedding. I'd post more. Like maybe a pic of her new hubs, but my camera took a nosedive that night. Great time, though.
Enjoy living in Hawaii you two!

Will the Birthday Girl please step forward.
Come on now. You can run, but you can't hide...

Happy Birthday, Mom!
(Just in case you were wondering what my dad's shirt says...it's "Fit as a Fiddle".)

A Fresh Drink of Water

When's the last time you slept this good?

Took a trip to the Farmer's Market and came back with nothing by lilacs. I guess the time I've spent watching the Foodnetwork has done nothing for me. Sorry, Giada and Ina. Hope I didn't let you girls down.

Nothing like sharing a sangria & marg on a Sunday afternoon

King for a Day

Our little man is officially 1. I know Wyatt may not remember much of the past year, but Pete & I will never forget it.
Happy Birthday, Lovebug!

Let Him Eat Cake

Ok. So he didn't eat it so much as destroy it. Nontheless, Wyatt did not disappoint his birthday party guests. He dug in his first cake with careful curiosity. Sorry Heidi, he opted out of the faceplant.

He Turned One. So We Had Some Fun.

Did someone say, "Cake Time?"

Going Green

Piece by piece our little backyard has come a long way. We're looking forward to a little relaxation. Cold beer, lawn chairs, baby crawling through the sprinklers this summer. Swing by if that sounds like something you can get into.

Mama's Day

The three of us celebrated my first Mother's Day with a feast fit for a queen at the hotel del in coronado. I probably had about 15 chocolate dipped strawberries. Pete- about 15 crab legs. Wyatt-about 1500 cherrios. A good time for all.

Men at Work

We love the new house. However, the backyard was a little too "Eastern Block" for us. So, we gathered a couple of strong friends and went to work. (Well, the guys went to work. Jenna and I took the babies to the park and got some sun. Hey, it was a beautiful day!)
Testosterone

At one point we had Cory on the pick-ax, Pete on the jackhammer, and Rex on the concrete saw. What neighbors?

Five Dudes and a Dog

Apparently hauling out 8,000olbs of concrete is hard work. This is about all I could get out them, as far as "posing" in front of their results.

The Glow

Oh Ms. Gina, you looked so darn cute and happy, I just had to add you to the blog. I'm so glad Wyatt and I got to spend a little time with my beautiful friend. I can't wait to give that baby Daniel a little hug & kiss!

Easter Sunday

After spending some time in mass reflecting on how fortunate we have been this year, we hung out at my mom & dad's for a bit before heading off to our big family get-together in Whittier. (And Dad, I do hope your prayers about winning the lotto are answered..)

Easter at Papo's
We've been celebrating Easter at my grandpa's house since before I can remember. Although this was our first Easter celebration without my grandpa, I know he & my grandma (Papo & Honey) were up there somewhere cheering on Wyatt as he found an astounding 6 eggs (there was a total of 154 that he did not find however).
Easter is the one day when my entire family is able to get together for lunch, an egg hunt, and the infamous confetti-egg war (not for the weak!).
It was great introducing Wyatt to the rest of the Pasillas clan (minus of course our beloved Texans). Anyhow, I'm sure next year he will be one of the top instigators in the confetti war...
